Local Nonprofit Celebrates Staff at Annual Awards Ceremony

December 14, 2012 (Plymouth Meeting, PA) – Over 80 individuals from KenCrest Staff and Board were in attendance Wednesday, December 12, 2012 for KenCrest’s Annual Staff Awards Ceremony.

The event featured three prestigious staff awards, which given to a different person each year. The final and most coveted award of the night is given to a staff person who has touched the lives of others through their work at the organization and someone who exhibits characteristics which honor the individual the award is named. This prestigious award is known as the “Sister Grace Award”.

This year, we are honored to announce Becky Hudson as the winner of KenCrest’s Sister Grace Award. Becky has worked for KenCrest for 27 years. She was nominated for the award by her coworkers. Becky is often described by her co-workers as “an awesome leader”, “one of the most cooperative colleagues”, among many others. Becky Hudson exemplifies longevity, innovation, cooperation and volunteerism throughout her dedicated service at KenCrest.

Now in its 107th year, KenCrest now serves more than 8,500 children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities at 500 locations in seven counties in the Philadelphia region, and the states of Delaware and Connecticut. The Philadelphia Inquirer named KenCrest a “Top Work Place” in Philadelphia in 2012.
