Univest Corporation Launches "Committed to Local" Contest on Facebook; Winning Hospital to Receive $1,000 Donation
SOUDERTON, Pa., November 5, 2012 – Univest Corporation today announced its third “Committed to Local” Facebook contest. As part of a focus on supporting community wellness initiatives, Univest has selected three local hospitals to compete for a $1,000 donation: Grand View Hospital, Lansdale Hospital and St. Luke's Hospital -
Quakertown Campus. Individuals can show support for the hospital of their choice by visiting the Univest corporate Facebook page at ttp://www.facebook.com/UnivestCorporation
to vote for their favorite. The contest will run through November 23 and the hospital with the most votes will receive $1,000 from Univest.
The contributions made through these Facebook contests are part of Univest’s pledge to provide more than a million dollars to local non-profit organizations in 2012. In addition to giving financially through the “Committed to Local” initiative, Univest employees have pledged to volunteer more than 10,000 hours this year in local
communities.
Previous winners of the “Committed to Local” Facebook contest were Bucks County Community College and the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library.
