Yokohama Tire Corporation to Run ‘Home Team Pride’ Jersey Promotion with Baseball’s Philadelphia Phillies
Promotion is effective July 1 to August 15 and is part of Yokohama’s continued sponsorship of the team
FULLERTON, CA. – (June 29, 2012) – For the second consecutive year, Yokohama Tire Corporation will be running its “Home Team Pride” jersey promotion as part of its continued sponsorship of one of Major League Baseball’s top teams – the Philadelphia Phillies.
“The Phillies were number one in attendance last year, drawing more than 3.6 million fans,” said Shawn Denlein, Yokohama director of sales, Consumer Products. “They are in a strong market for us so the promotion and sponsorship will create excitement and drive consumer traffic to our dealers.”
The promotion consists of a free official replica Phillies jersey with the purchase of four Yokohama tires from participating retailers. It will run from July 1 to August 15. “We have had tremendous success with the “Home Team Pride” promotion in the past and we expect another
outstanding redemption rate this year,” said Denlein.
The sponsorship agreement includes a combination of signage behind home plate and on the first and third base lines; pre-game, post-game and in-game spots on the Phillies flagship radio station throughout the season; in-stadium displays and in-game announcements on the public address system and LED scoreboard.
In addition to the Phillies, Yokohama’s 2012 baseball sponsorships include deals with the Los Angeles Angels and the New York Yankees. Yokohama also has existing partnerships with three National Football League teams – the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens and New England
