9-Year-Old Struck by School Van Wednesday Morning

The girl was hit near Gotwals Elementary, but was not seriously injured according to authorities.

 

According to The Times Herald, a 9-year-old girl ran into traffic and was hit by a school van early Wednesday morning in the 800 block of Swede Street near Gotwals Elementary.

The girl reportedly suffered a scratch and a bump on the head and complained of pain in her leg. She was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for treatment of her injuries. Authorities alerted her parents and say the injuries weren't serious.

Why would you take her to CHOP for minor injuries? We have a brand new hospital in East Norriton?

Its not set up for trauma. Until a year after its open.

The school has been trying for years to get a school zone put up but yet it's still not done I have called my self and the township says the school has to do it n the school says the township does wth the police don't watch the cars there like they do for other schools its a shame glade she is ok
