A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles has closed a section of Swede Road at Meadowbrook Road in East Norriton.

Both parties suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention. One of the vehicles, a blue Ford F-150 pickup truck, had a 5-gallon jug of diesel fuel in its bed, which ruptured and spilled its contents on the road surface. Crews are working to clean up the fuel.

Traffic is being turned away several hundred feet up the road in both directions as responders clean up the accident debris.
