Archdiocese to Hold Press Conference Today on Fate of Area Catholic Schools

According to a report on phillyburbs.com, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will be holding a press conference at 4 p.m. today at the archdiocesan administrative offices in Philadelphia to discuss the results of the archdiocese's Blue Ribbon Commission. Area residents can watch the the press conference live on the archdiocese's website.
As reported in a recent article on Upper Moreland Patch, the commission will present findings on which Catholic schools in the region may or may not be closing. The findings will be presented to parish pastors and school presidents and principals attending a press conference today from 10 a.m. to noon at Neumann University in Aston, Delaware County.
According to a recent Catholicphilly.com article, the Blue Ribbon Commission, formed in January of last year, is made up of 17 members appointed by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia with the purpose of defining a strategic plan for Catholic education sustainability.
