Arts Hill Festival Seeks New Vendors

Thousands of area art and culture lovers are expected to visit this year's Norristown Arts Hill Festival and your business could benefit.

The 4th Annual Norristown Arts Hill Festival is slated for Saturday, May 4 and the Norristown Arts Council is looking for fine artists, craftspersons, arts-related organizations, corporate/industrial vendors and especially food vendors to participate.

Thousands of area residents come to the festival each year and this is a chance for local businesses and artisans to expand their brand beyond their current clientele.

Organizers are excited about the many food and drink vendors returning for this year's festival, but are keen to include more. BBQ masters, the Willis Brothers, are returning with their mouth-watering ribs, as are Mid-Atlantic (the folks with the smoothies and funnel cakes). There are also newcomers like Banh Mis Bar & Bistro and new water ice and ice cream vendors.

"We need some all-American food," said Arts Council President Rich Rogers.

"We still looking for that hot dog/hamburger [vendor]," said Arts Council Member Gene Franks. "An American grill in the kids' zone? Man..."

"They could make a killing," said Rogers.

The festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. along the Norristown Arts Hill (on DeKalb Street between Lafayette and Airy Streets) and will feature fine artists, film, dance, music, theatre, performance, a great diversity of ethnic foods and for the first time in Arts Hill history – a beer garden!

Vendor fees are as follows:

  • Food vendor - $110
  • Retail vendor - $75
  • Nonprofit or arts-related vendors - $50
  • Corporate/industrial vendors - $250

Participation is subject to committee review and availability of space, but the Norristown Arts Council is hoping to include as many area businesses as possible.
