We resurrected our Readers' Choice contest this week to find our area's best happy hour and though the voting was a bit tepid, Chap's Taproom was the most beloved by far.

Norristown Patch reader Jim Petrosky had this to say in his endorsement:

"Another vote for Chap's. Anyone voting for another bar/restaurant, needs to visit Chap's once to become a believer. Currently seven days a week with great drink, beer and food specials. As far as beer is concerned, not only do they have the usual domestic and imports, but they have a great selection of craft beers on tap as well. My personal faves! Yup, Chap's is a no brainer."

We'll be stopping by Chap's Taproom soon to present them with a certificate for the awesome powers of happy hour-tude. (We still owe them one for winning our Best St. Patrick's Day Party Readers' Choice back in March.)

On a related note, we know the voting was a lot easier with the polling function, but it was also way too easy to cheat. in the future we're going to keep asking for votes in the comment section. We just hope our readers love their favorite shops and eateries enough to take the few extra minutes and let them know.
