The eastbound Schuylkill Expressway remains closed as workers try to clear the area of the 180 gallons of fuel spilled when a tractor trailer overturned just after the Conshohocken Curve in I-76 sometime around 11:30 a.m. this morning.

A reader who was stuck approximately 60 yards behind the accident after it occurred told Plymouth-Whitemarsh Patchthat most of the vehicles had shut off their engines and that ex-motorists were milling about, with many taking a walk to near the accident.

Current pictures from the scene via a PennDOT camera show that eastbound lanes have been cleared of traffic while crews continue to work on the scene.
