Games Around the World

Where/When: Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library, 1001 Powell St., Norristown; July 14, 1 to 4 p.m.

Why go: For children ages 5 and up, drop in and enjoy games from other countries, including a life-sized game board.

Price: Free

 

Bicentennial History Committee Meeting

Where/When: Historical Society of Montgomery County, 1654 Dekalb St., Norristown; July 14, 7 p.m.

Why go: If you want to get involved in Norristown’s Bicentennial History Committee, join the group at its next meeting tonight.

Price: Free

 

Dance Party Through the Decades

Where/When: Jeffersonville Golf Club, 2400 W. Main St., Norristown; July 16, 7 p.m. to midnight

Why go: A DJ will be spinning all the classics from the '50s, '60s and '70s. Grab a partner and your dancing shoes and cut a rug!

Pricing: $5 admission, food and drink specials all night

 

Montco Young Democrats Summer Barbecue

Where/When: 2290 Autumn Hill Lane, Lafayette Hill; July 16, 5 to 11 p.m.

Why go: Montgomery County Young Democrats will be grilling and playing tailgating games while local candidates mingle and meet voters.

Price: $10

 

Finding Shelter Day at the Zoo

Where/When: Elmwood Park Zoo, 1661 Harding Blvd., Norristown; July 17, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why go: Meet volunteers from Finding Shelter, a no-kill animal rescue.

Price: Free with zoo admission
