Historical Society of Montgomery County Names New Curator

Susan Pavlik was chosen by the society's board of directors.

According to a release from the Historical Society of Montgomery County, the society's board of directors has named Susan Pavlik to the position of curator. Pavlik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Material Culture Preservation from the University of Delaware. Before joining the Historical Society staff, she interned in the Winterthur conservation lab and at Pennypacker Mills Historic Site in Schwenksville.

Pavlik also serves as curator for Montgomery County at the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove.  In 2010, Pavlik received the David J. Toman Award from the Art Conservation Department at the University of Delaware.

"The [Historical Society of Montgomery County] has an impressive collection of artifacts that spans our diverse history," says Pavlik, "and I am looking forward to sharing this with the residents of Montgomery County."
