iPhone and iPad Update Problems? Wait It Out

Apple servers can't handle the amount of downloads for the new operating system upgrade.

Having problems with your iPhone or iPad OS 5 update? Chances are, you're not alone.

One problem: You need to update to iTunes 10.5.

According to The Huffington Post, you need to update iTunes to the newest version in order to properly update your iPhones to the new operating system.

People across the world attempting to update their phones are met with a message "Internal Error 3200." It has even become a worldwide trending topic on Twitter and Google.

It's not a problem with your phone; this means there is a problem with Apple servers being unable to handle the influx of updates. The best advice is to wait it out a couple days.

Some iPhones and iPads won't turn on and others won't work at all. Most likely, a simple reboot will fix the issue. To do that, hold in the home button at the bottom of the iPhone and the lock button on top of the iPhone at the same time.

This writer is downloading the new iTunes 10.5 update at present. Remaining time: 7 hours.

Service representatives are working on an authentication issue, which should be completed soon, according to AppleInsider.

So, it seems with such a demand, Apple was unprepared.

Bottom line: If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try, try again.
