Montgomery County Declares 'Code Blue' for Saturday and Sunday
The 'Code Blue' will go into effect at noon on Saturday, Nov. 3 and end at noon on Monday, Nov. 5.

The Montgomery County Commissioners, on the advice of the Montgomery County Health Department and the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, have declared a Code Blue Cold Weather Emergency for Montgomery County based on a review of forecasts from the National Weather Service, and because of the large number of county residents still without power and heat.
The Code Blue will be for the two-day (48 hour) period beginning at Noon Saturday, November 3, 2012 until Noon Monday, November 5, 2012.
“Normally, a Code Blue declaration is issued when we are expecting colder weather,” said Josh Shapiro, chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners, “but with temperatures expected to dip into the 20s overnight Saturday and Sunday we believe it is prudent to declare a Code Blue given the fact that so many people in the county remain without power and heat.”
A Code Blue Cold Weather declaration is declared in Montgomery County when winter conditions pose a threat of serious harm or death to individuals without shelter. A Code Blue is called when the combination of air temperature and wind chill is anticipated to be 20º F or less.

What about a code blue for the dam slum lords who won't fix the dam heater. After not having power for three days and cold as hell and now everyone is sick to the slum lord of norristown who sd he didn't give a shit about my heater.

Oh Golden is shows up bad and he just to in my house and keeps saying give him his f*** rent money. I will be back Monday to fix things same thing that happend last month gave him rent and still hasn't fixed nothing. My toliet leaks. And then threatins me say I don't take people to court but I will get u out. Threat right... this landlord has not fixed anything and now iv come out my pocket to fix things.

Citizen, Your legal right to safe, habitable housing are safeguarded. Follow these steps: Send a letter to your landlord listing all the major repairs that are needed, (heat, electrical, plumbing, windows that protect you from the elements), send it "Certified Return Receipt", that way he can't say you didn't send it. Give him one week to respond, (under the circumstances - you need heat now). If he doesn't respond and start work immediately take your rent money to your bank and open a new savings account and call it "Rent Money".
DO NOT GIVE HIM ANOTHER PENNY.
If he still does nothing to improve your housing you can use the rent money to make repairs for the items listed above, (not things like new carpet). Keep your receipts. Go to your District Justice and file a Small Claims against him, "Implied Warranty of Habitability" for serious defects is the PA State Law. Document everything, including what he says to you, on what day.... and take photo's. This will stand up in court.
