Municipal Council to Discuss West End Parking Tonight
The hot-button issue is included on tonight's agenda.
Norristown Municipal Council meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Norristown Municipal Hall. Among the many topics on the agenda are discussions of the parking rates on West Marshall Street and the possibility of expanding the time limit for parking at Poley Park to four hours.
Council will also be talking about the Health Care District Ordinance and LED billboards. (Those billboards have been a hot topic in nearby municipalities recently.)
You can download the full agenda for tonight's meeting in our PDF section. You can also watch tonight's meeting live right here on Norristown Patch. Check back later for a live stream of the proceedings.

Borough Council should raise the parking rates in all of Norristown to ensure (1) people from outside Norristown stay the hell away from the borough and (2) present residents move the hell out of the borough. Then residents can vote out the current borough council member and vote in persons who are even more clueless. In other words, continue the same pattern of the past 100 years.
Norristown, the town that hates itself.

It's simple people. You only get tickets when you don't pay for parking or park illegally. Who the heck shops for longer than 2 hours on Marshall Street to make it a point to complain about the fees??? If the business owners' patrons cannot afford the $3 parking rate for what...maybe once per week visit, then maybe they need a better clientele. LOL
