Norristown Mural to be Unveiled for Public Approval

The Norristown Mural Project will be revealing the artist's concept for the mural at Lafayette and DeKalb streets at a public meeting Thursday night.

State Sen. Daylin Leach's office announced that the finalized art for the Norristown Mural Project will be subject to public consideration at a public meeting Thursday night at Norristown Municipal Hall.

The public to attend the meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 and attendees will have the opportunity to view the proposed artwork and offer feedback and give approval of the mural project.

"I'm happy to announce that the project's artist, Matthew Bush, has finalized his plan for the mural after considerable feedback and input from the community," Leach said in a release issued today. "I am eager to see the final product and encourage members of the public to attend the meeting in order to continue our participation with this valuable project. Like I've said before, this mural is a community effort and we need everyone's input to make sure we are all satisfied with the end result."

Also scheduled to attend the meeting are Deborah Zuchman of the Philadelphia Mural Arts Project, mural artist Matthew Bush, and members of the Norristown Municipal Council and Norristown Arts Council.
