Norristown Woman Allegedly Attacks Hospital Staff with Shard of Glass

Two Montgomery County Emergency Services staff members were injured in the incident.

According to The Times Herald, a Montgomery County Emergency Services (MCES) patient who smashed a window and used the glass to attack staff members at the facility was remanded to Montgomery County Correctional Facility (MCCF) last week.

Geraldine Jones, of the 800 block of Green Street, was reportedly fighting with MCES staff over trying to leave her room when she became hostile, the Herald reports. When staff members tried to medicate her, she allegedly used her bed restraints to smash a window and used a shard of the glass to attack them. Two staff members were reportedly injured in the incident.

Jones was taken in to custody by West Norriton Police and taken to MCCF where she is being held on $5,000 bail.
