PAL Getting Ready for MLK Day of Service

As Jan. 16 draws near, Greater Norristown PAL prepares to deploy its volunteers for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Community Day of Service.

is joining (GNPAL) in preparing for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Community Day of Service on Jan 16. More than 250 volunteers participated last year at GNPAL, and with the more volunteers anticipated for this year the organization is looking for other groups and organizations to host similar service projects and volunteers.

“This year GNPAL’s intent is to make this a Norristown-wide day of service," said PAL Program Director Ken Fennel, "not just at PAL."

GNPAL is a participating partner with Global Citizen’s MLK Day of Service. On Jan. 16, the national observance will be marked by community service projects across the country remembering the life of this great civil rights leader.
