Patch Poll: Best Coffee in Norristown

We know you love your Starbucks, but what local haunt brews up the best joe in Norristown?

With word that Coffee Talk closed down, Norristown no longer has a dedicated coffee shop. We know a lot of folks get their fix at one of the nearby Starbucks' or even one of the many Dunkin' Donuts in town (some of us even hit up the Wawa or the 7-Eleven), but there are plenty of spots in town that serve up a piping hot pot of black gold every morning.

I've heard the Court House Diner and Lou's Sandwich Shop both serve up a serious cup, and I know my dad is partial to the brew at the Norristown Food Mart. I'm sure there are other secret spots you'd like to share so let us know in the comments and we'll add it to our poll.

In the meantime, vote your favorite in our poll below by 9 a.m. Friday. We'll present the winner with a certificate proclaiming their mastery of the brew. If there's a tie, we'll use positive comments in our comment section to break it so be sure to tell us why you love your favorite spot so.

If you want to vote for a take out place in a neighboring Patch, feel free to visit Perkiomen Valley Patch, Lower Gwynedd-Ambler-Whitpain Patch or Montgomeryville-Lansdale Patch.

Editorial Note: We've added Jem Restaurant, all three 7-Eleven locations (W. Main, Sandy Hill Road and Johnson Highway & New Hope) our local Dunkin' Donuts locations (W. Main & Barbadoes, 939 E. Main, and Markley & Johnson Highway), Everything Bagel on Egypt Road, the new Sonic in East Norriton and Suzy Jo Donuts in Bridgeport to our poll at readers' request.

Jem Restaurant should be in your poll

You're absolutely right, Debbie. I thought maybe I should keep the voting to spots within the municipality, but who doesn't pop across Johnson Highway and head to the Jem from time to time?
I also heard from somebody today who thought I was crazy to not include any of the local Dunkin' Donuts. I'm adding the Jem and each of the DDs to the poll. Vote for your favorite!

I guess it's not fair to leave out the 7Elevens. I'll put them in now.

Everything Bagel on Egypt Rd? They've had some pretty interesting varieties lately.

Don't forget Suzie Joe's in Bridgeport and you have to try the New Sonic on Germantown Pike and Swede Road.

I left Suzy-Jo's off the list because I figured I'd include them when we got around to "Best Donut." I can't imagine how they'd lose that one. As for Sonic, it never occurred to me that anyone would be going there for the coffee. I'll put them in and give them a shot though. I'll also add Everything Bagel. Thanks for the suggestions!

Jem is the best because is served with a friendly manor. Tony his family and all who work for him are a CLASS ACT.
