PennDOT Closing East Johnson Highway Starting Wednesday

The road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the rest of the week.

 

East Norriton Township issued an alert on Tuesday East Johnson Highway will be closed between Old Arch Rd and Rahway Avenue starting Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. while PennDOT crews work on the road.

The posted detour will direct drivers to Old Arch Road and New Hope Street. The closure is expected to last through the end of the week while PennDOT crews replace a 48-inch drainage cross pipe under the roadway.

You would think that PennDot would extend the courtesy of notifying Septa to detour the 98 bus route. Sad.

You said the road would be close from 9am to 3pm not true the road is still close and it is 6.20pm, so please tell the people would live on Rahway ave the truth about the time we have school age kids and we would like to know where the bus stop will be.

Gwen, that was the information that PennDOT and East Norriton released yesterday. I can call PennDOT tomorrow to find out why the road is still closed and I'll check with the school district to find out if any bus stops have been moved.
