Police Briefs

Possession

• According to reports from the , Junior Pinnock, of the 500 block of Norris Street, and Jerome Berry, of the 1000 block of Willow street, were arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana Thursday, Jan. 26. Officers reportedly observed Pinnock and Berry in the area of Cherry and Marshall streets. Police state they observed them acting suspiciously. When police approached the men inside a store, and they reportedly told the officer he had four bags of marijuana. The marijuana was reportedly recovered and field tested positive as the suspected substance. They were placed under arrest and the contraband was placed into evidence.

Public Drunkenness

• Mark G. Davis, of the 2000 block of Yorktown South, was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct Thursday, Jan. 26. Police responded to on the 200 block of Main Street for a report of an injured person. Police reportedly found Davis in the parking lot and state he was visibly intoxicated, unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcohol. In addition, he allegedly was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and a pipe. He was transported to due to a cut on his forehead, which reportedly was sustained when he fell on the sidewalk. He was cited by mail.

Furnishing Minors with Alcohol

• Dylan Nagle, of the 800 block of North Newkirk Street in Philadelphia, was arrested for furnishing minors with alcohol, underage possession of alcohol, false identification and carrying false identification Saturday, Jan. 28. Nagle reportedly arrived at the in a white Toyota Corolla with Anthony Dicken, of the 200 block of DeKalb Pike in King of Prussia; Royce McGarry, of the 100 block of Cottonwood Drive; and Tanner Powell, of the 100 block of Deerfield Avenue in Marlton, N.J. All four individuals reportedly were only 20 years old. According to police, Nagle approached the counter, showed identification to the clerk and then purchased a 12-pack of beer. He allegedly placed the beer in the back seat of the Toyota and told the occupants in the vehicle he was going in to buy another 12-pack. Officers approached Nagle and told him they were investigated underage drinking violations and asked to see his identification. Nagle reportedly presented the officers with another individual’s identification. It was discovered he was not the individual on the identification and Nagle told police the person the ID belonged to gave it to him so he could buy alcohol. Dicken, McGarry and Powell were charged with possession of alcohol.

Harassment

• Alberto Nirino, of the 600 block of East Moore Street, was cited for harassment Thursday, Jan. 26. A victim reported that Nirino allegedly punched him during an argument. The victim was transported to the emergency room for treatment. A citation was mailed to Nirino.
• Fontaine Bighams, of the 100 block of East Jacoby Street, was cited for harassment Monday, Jan. 16. Bighams is accused of slapping a victim in the face.

Theft

• A red 1997 Nissan Quest was reported stolen to police Friday Jan. 27. ­The victim went to the police department and stated he left his vehicle was on the 500 block of Norris Street for approximately 10 minutes and when he returned, it was gone. The keys reportedly were left in side the automobile and there were $1,000 worth of tools inside. The vehicle was later found parked at Stoney Creek Office Plaza with all the tools still inside. The owner was contacted and recovered his vehicle.
• A victim reported to police that a family friend, who reportedly was staying with her temporarily, allegedly stole a laptop computer, digital camera and leather jacket. The total value of the items is $2,850. The victim states she asked the individual to leave Wednesday, Jan. 25, and then noticed the above items missing. She was advised to call police if the accused returns and was provided with a victim’s rights form.
• Rochelle Farrelle, of the 200 block of East Chestnut Street, was arrested for theft and receiving stolen property Thursday, Jan. 26. She reportedly went to the police station to turn herself in on charged from a previous police report and investigation. She was taken directly to arraignment.

Fraud

• Police received a report of fraud from a resident Friday, Jan. 27. The victim states that someone attempted to file an income tax return with her son listed as a dependant. She does not know who attempted to do this and the IRS has already been notified.

Scattering Rubbish

• Quinzel Adams, of the 1100 block of Swede Street, was cited for scattering rubbish Saturday, Jan. 28. Police reportedly observed Adams throwing a cigar warapper on the ground. He was cited and released.

Seized Registration

• Police seized the registration from a 2000 Buick Century Friday, Jan. 27. The tag was seized due to insurance cancellation. The vehicle was towed.
• In separate, unrelated incidents, police also seized the registration from a grey 2003 Volvo and red 2001 Ford during a traffic stop Friday, Jan. 27. On Thursday, Jan. 26 the registration from a gray 1991 Mitsubishi was also seized.

Recovered Property

• The relative of a victim whose white Dodge Durango was reported stolen flagged down police Friday, Jan. 27. The relative told police the vehicle was discovered parked in a lot on the west side of the 500 block of Chain Street. The victim was contacted and reclaimed his vehicle.

Warrants

• Darren M. Durrell, of the 400 block of West Sterigere Street, was arrested for an active criminal warrant out of Lycoming County Friday, Jan. 27. He was arrested on the 500 block of DeKalb Street. The offense listed on the warrant was theft by unlawful taking movable property. He was transported to municipal hall and held for transport.
• William C. Littlejohn, of the 500 block of Kohn Street, was arrested for warrant out of Philadelphia Saturday, Jan. 28. He was brought to the police station and held for transport.
