Disorderly Conduct

• According to reports from the Norristown Police Department, Terence Jackson of the 1300 block of Arch St. was charged with disorderly conduct on Oct. 4 at 1:55 a.m. in front of Uptown's Roo House Tavern on the 1000 block of Willow St. Allegedly, Jackson was intoxicated, and became confrontational with his sister and her friend when they attempted to get him home for the night. Officers stopped, detained and then released him to his mother.  
• Timothy Williams, Jr. of the 200 block of E. Elm St. was cited for disorderly conduct on Oct. 3 at 6:48 p.m. Williams allegedly was engaged in a fight near the 300 block of E. Basin St. According to the report, when police arrived, Williams fled on foot. Officers gave chase and eventually found him in hiding in a backyard. The owner of the house gave police permission to break down his fence in order to apprehend Williams. After Williams was taken into custody, police searched the nearby area for a gun that Williams supposedly had in his possession prior to the chase. In the bed of a pick-up truck, a BB gun was found along with Williams’ black sweater. Williams was taken back to the police department, cited for disorderly conduct and released. The BB gun was placed into evidence.
• On Oct. 3 at 2:51 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Sandy St. for a silent alarm. It was reported that an unknown male was creating a disturbance in the lobby. Police observed Noble Walls of the 00 block of E. Basin St. sitting in the lobby. Employees related that he was yelling obscenities and they were visibly upset. The receptionist stated she was scared. Walls was escorted out and released to be cited by mail.
• Jalessa Scruggs of the 800 block of Haws Ave. was cited for disorderly conduct on Oct. 3 at 2:49 p.m.  Allegedly, Scruggs was engaged in a physical fight with another female on a porch in the 1000 block of Markley St.
• Brittany Bynum of the 1000 block of Markley St. was cited for disorderly conduct on Oct. 3 at 2:49 p.m. Allegedly, Bynum was engaged in a physical fight with another female on a porch in the 1000 block of Markley St.
• Ryan Tuturice of the 1800 block of North Hills was cited for disorderly conduct on Oct. 3 at 7:33 p.m. Police responded to the 700 block of East Johnson Highway for a disturbance. When police arrived on scene and observed a male and female matching the description given over the radio, they stopped and were going to search them. At that point, Tuturice allegedly told the officer that he had a needle and heroin in his pocket. The officer recovered the needle and suspected heroin from Tuturice. The suspected heroin was placed into evidence and sent to a lab for testing.
• Dyia Alexis of 200 block of N. Wanamaker St., Philadelphia, was cited for disorderly conduct on Oct. 3 at 7:05 p.m. Police responded to a report of a disturbance at the 1000 block of Markley Street, which had continued over from another disturbance on the 300 block of E. Basin St. approximately 15 minutes prior. Alexis allegedly told officers that a group of males were looking for him. At the time of the apprehension, Alexis was with a group of 10-15 people, all of which reside in Philadelphia. According to the report, Alexis issued a citation for causing an annoyance, inconvenience and alarm at two separate locations.

Public Drunkenness

• On the 200 block of E. Oak St. on Oct. 3 at 4:55 p.m., police cited Mandi Crawford, of the 200 block of E. Oak St., with public drunkenness. Police responded for a report of a disturbance, and when they arrived reportedly observed Crawford outside yelling obscenities. Allegedly, Crawford had slurred speech, red and glossy eyes and a strong odor of alcohol.  Crawford was taken into custody, transported to the police station and placed in a cell until she sobered up.
• On Oct. 3 at 4:49 p.m., police responded to a call for service in the vicinity of the 200 block of Haws Avenue. When they arrived, the officers initiated a pedestrian stop on Jeffrey Airgood of the 2400 block of W. Main St. According to the report, the officers noticed that Airgood was visibly intoxicated, slurring his speech, unsteady on his feet and had a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. They took him into custody.

Harassment

• Nigera King of the 600 block of E. Moore St. was charged with harassment on Oct. 4 at 8:46 a.m. while at the 200 block of E. Airy St. According to the police report at 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 2 while in the Super Thriftway on the 800 block of Dekalb St., King verbally accosted a customer. After leaving the store, King stayed outside, waited for the customer to come outside and then began shouting threats.
• On Oct. 3 at 9:30 a.m., Julie Orbe of the 00 block of E. Spruce St. was cited for harassment. A harassment report has been filed with the Norristown Police Department.
• Gloria Williams of the 1000 block of Swede St. was cited for harassment on Sept. 28 at 7:37 a.m. A harassment report has been filed with the Norristown Police Department.
• On Oct. 3 at 9:40 a.m., Steve Malone of the 300 block of Walnut St. was cited for harassment. A harassment report has been filed with the Norristown Police Department.
• Christian Garcia of the 300 block of Barbadoes St. was cited for harassment on Oct. 3 at 9:50 a.m. A harassment report has been filed with the Norristown Police Department.

Criminal Mischief

• Peter Corsey, III of the 600 block of DeKalb St. was given a non-traffic citation for criminal mischief on Sept. 27 at 8:30 p.m.
• Police responded to a car break-in at the 900 block of Green St. on Oct. 3 at 10:30 a.m. The car, a Dodge Magnum, had its rear passenger window broken by a brick, and there were multiple pry marks on the glove compartment. The victim reported that nothing was taken from the car, and that none of the neighbors heard anything the night before.

Terroristic Threats

• On Oct. 4 at 8:11 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on the 100 block of E. Marshall St. According to the report, the victim told the officer that a male entered his store and attempted to purchase an item for $1.50. The male customer did not have the required amount, and the victim would not give him the product. Upon leaving the store, the male customer threatened to shoot the victim and pretended as if he had a gun. The victim stated he would shoot him as well.

Burglary

• Police responded to a burglary call on the 700 block of Sandy St. on Oct. 4 at midnight. A residence was broken into while the owners were not home. A HP laptop worth $500.00, jewelry worth $200, and $50 in cash were taken. During the incident, a witness saw a tall, skinny man wearing a denim shoulder bag standing near the front entrance of the home as well as the back garage.

Home Invasion

• Police responded to report of a home invasion in the 1000 block of W. Main St. on Oct. 3 at 11:53 p.m. The victim reported that on Oct. 3 at approximately 11:30 p.m. he and his girlfriend were laying in bed at their apartment. The family of the girlfriend reportedly started banging on the window to the apartment. The victim and his girlfriend got up and went to the door. The girlfriend exited the apartment into the common hallway to open the exterior door when her mother, father, two sisters, and four brothers charged in. They began kicking down the victim’s door to his apartment. When the door was knocked down, the family allegedly rushed in and began punching the victim all over his body. As the victim tried to get out of the apartment, he was struck in the mouth causing his two front teeth to be knocked out.  The victim was able to make it out of the apartment with the family still assaulting him. Allegedly, the family continued to assault him outside the apartment as he attempted to flee. As the victim reached an alley, the family stopped assaulting him and went towards the victim’s apartment. The victim flagged down police at Airy and Noble streets when they were heading to 1000 W. Main St. The victim returned to his apartment with the police. On the front porch was the victim’s Dell computer, which had been smashed. The computer was taken into evidence. When police entered the apartment they noted the door had been completely knocked down. Once inside, the victim stated that a 30” Dynex flat screen television had been taken from the bedroom.  Police took pictures of the victim and his injuries for evidence. The victim stated that he believed the girlfriend’s family lived in the area of Laveer and Ogontz Ave. in Philadelphia. Police gave the victim a victim rights information sheet.

Fraud

• On Oct. 3 at approximately noon, police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Aster St. for a report of fraud. The victim related that her debit card had been used multiple times without her permission to buy items amounting to more than $2000. The places it was used were to include, but not limited to Uptown's Roo House Tavern, Pub Deli, the In and Out, and the Peanut Gallery. The victim stated that she did not have her card in her possession and she did not realize that it had been missing since June. The victim was handed and signed for victim’s rights and compensation forms.

Theft

• On Oct. 3 at 2:30 p.m., it was reported to police that a wallet was taken from a purse when on Oct. 2 at 11:30 p.m. in the vicinity of the 600 block of W. Main St. the victim attempted to provide a ride home to two unidentified males. After conducting her own investigation without success, the victim filed a police report.
• It was reported to police on Oct. 3 at 6:10 p.m. that a vehicle registration was stolen from the 400 block of W. Marshall St. The victim called the police station and reported that the incident had to occur between 8:00 p.m., Oct. 2 and 5 p.m., Oct 3.

Breaking and Entering

• On Oct. 3 at 4:05, police took a report from a woman who stated her home on the 500 block of E. Main St. was broken into. The victim claimed the incident occurred some time between 5 p.m., Oct. 1 and 2:30 p.m., Oct. 3. Items taken were $2000 worth of clothes, and a 42” Samsung flat screen television.

Possession

• On Oct. 3 at 11:30 p.m., police responded to 1200 block of Arch St. for a disturbance. When police arrived on scene, the residents and the owner of the property were verbally fighting. One of the residents then stated that the property owner was growing marijuana in the back yard. The property owner then became very nervous and defensive.  An officer accompanied one of the residents to the rear yard and observed a fence that was built approximately three feet away from another rear fence. When the officer looked inside the fence, he saw what appeared to be three marijuana plants, one in a decorative pot. All of the suspected marijuana plants were entered into evidence and sent out for lab testing.

DUI

• On Oct. 3 at 2:10 a.m., Miguel Juarez-Lopez of the 700 block of Chain Street was charged with driving under the influence and driving under suspension. According to the report, Juarez-Lopez was driving down the 500 block of W. Marshall St. when he hit a parked car. A police officer observed the accident and Juarez-Lopez’s subsequent attempt to flee the scene. Police immediately stopped Juarez-Lopez and detected an odor of alcoholic beverages coming from his person and/or interior of the vehicle. When asked what happened, Juarez-Lopez could not explain why he crashed into the truck. The officer explained to him that he believed Juarez-Lopez to be intoxicated to an extent that he could not safely drive a car. He was asked to submit to a chemical test of his blood at a hospital to which he agreed. After blood was drawn, Juarez-Lopez was taken to the police department to await arraignment. A JNET search revealed that Juarez-Lopez only possessed a Pa. ID card, which was currently under suspension.

Warrant

• Ashley Wallace of the 1000 block of Walnut Street was taken into custody for having a felony warrant for her arrest. Wallace was observed by police on Oct. 3 at 12:15 p.m. to be walking down the 800 block of DeKalb St. She was detained at the police department and placed in a cell to await her arraignment.
• On Oct. 3 at 7:33 p.m., police responded to the 700 block of E. Johnson Hwy. for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Victoria McDowell of the 300 block of Docs Ct. in Ambler, was placed under arrest for possession of drugs and for having an outstanding warrant.

Criminal Conspiracy

• On Oct. 3 at 11:00 p.m., Ronald Smith of the 1300 block of Arch St. was taken into custody for criminal conspiracy, robbery, terroristic threats, simple assault, aggravated assault, and theft by unlawful taking.  Police responded to and met with East Norriton Police Department after receiving information regarding a recovered stolen vehicle, which was involved in an armed robbery with a handgun in Norristown at approximately 9:30 p.m. of the same day. East Norriton police had information that three males were observed exiting the stolen vehicle after it crashed in the lot of WalMart on Germantown Pike. Moments later, East Norriton police observed and made contact with two males walking South on DeKalb St., away from Germantown Pike and towards Norristown. Both males were stopped and identified as Ronald Smith and Ameer Johnson. Smith was carrying a white plastic bag containing a black HP laptop computer with a plug and a compact disc with Chinese inscription. Johnson had in his possession a yellow ACCESS card and a Kohl's card with the victim’s name on it. In addition, Johnson had in his possession his cell phone, which was the same number that was used to call the food store where the victim worked and made deliveries from. The victim was transported to the scene where he identified Smith as the male who allegedly pointed the gun at him during the robbery/theft of the vehicle. The laptop, ACCESS card and Kohl's card were all identified as property of the victim.
