The 8-year-old Norristown girl police had been searching for Monday evening has been found and returned to her family. The girl is reportedly safe and sound.
Police were looking for her after she walked away from her family sometime around 5:30 p.m Monday.
Authorities have not identified the girl or revealed where she was located.

Police are currently searching for a missing 8-year-old girl who wandered away form her mother.
She was last seen walking in the area of Knox Street and Stanbridge Street in Norristown.
She is described as an eight-year-old black female with pigtails, wearing a black and white puffy winter jacket and high black boots.
