The men then allegedly bound the victim and his wife's hands with duct tape and they were held at gunpoint while two or three of the men ransacked the house looking for jewelry. Two of the attackers then reportedly forced the jewelry store owner into his 2012 Volkswagen Passat and drove him to Shuler's Jewelers in East Norriton while the man's wife was left at the home with two of the gunmen. According to police, the gunmen stayed in the home until they got a call from the robbers at the store. The men then allegedly fled the scenes, leaving both victim's bound at their respective locations.

The suspects were described only as "four black males who were wearing masks and armed with semi-automatic handguns."
