Robbery Suspect Captured By Police

Norristown Police arrested Justin Johnson, who they say is a suspect in several robberies.

Patch readers reported heavy police activity just after 1 p.m. in the area of Swede and Oak streets in Norristown on Friday afternoon. The activity was the result of a robbery investigation leading to the arrest of 24-year-old Justin Johnson, of Norristown.

According to the police, officers responded to the 1500 Block of Locust Street for a report of a robbery in progress at approximately noon on Friday. The victim reported that she returned home and was confronted by two men inside of her residence. One of the men appeared to be holding a gun. The two men fled the scene when they saw her.

Detectives were able to positively identify Johnson as one of the men involved in the Locust Street robbery, police said. Police said Johnson is a suspect in several other robberies and burglaries, though charges are still pending.

Officers staked out Johnson's home on the 00 Block of West Oak Street and were preparing to make entry when Johnson was spotted walking down the street in their direction, police said. He was taken into custody without incident at approximately 1:13 p.m. At the time of his arrest, police said Johnson was in possession of cocaine and a large sum of cash.

Johnson is facing charges including burglary, robbery and drug-related crimes.

Police are still investigating the crime and have not yet identified the second male involved in the Locust Street robbery.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Norristown Police Department at 610-270-0977.

Indeed Barb, your tone when discussing KING OBAMA AND HIS DEVILISH PLANS FOR AMERICA is so much more restrained and reasonable.
