Lillian Monica Organtini was born at 12:07 a.m., weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces, said Main Line Health manager of communications Bridget Therriault.

Congratulations!
Have mom and dad been informed about the new test that should be given on this child? Pulse oximtery screening should be implemenetd to detect for the most commmon birth defect after 24 hrs of life and before Lillian goes home. MLH hospital's are among the first in the state to voluntarily use this screening. Other states across the country are saving babies lives (including New Jersey which mandated this screening universally in the state starting in Sept. At least 2 baby's lives have been saved since as a result). Parents across PA can ask their hospital to make sure their baby receives a pulse oximetry screening. Mom can even hold the baby while this noninvansive inexpensive screening is completed. Ask for the results - good ones are anything over 95%.

Nice to hear someone denounce the aboritons at Bryn Mawr. My mother went to their nursing school in the 1940's. She told me they did an abortion there in the 1940's. She told me they had to take the woman several times into the operating room, as they couldn't get all the pieces of the baby! How thoughtful of them. That little girl would be in her sixties now.
