Sisters Accused of Dealing Prescription Drugs
Ebony Slocum, 32, and Darrina Slocum, 34, were arrested after a three-year investigation for allegedly selling Oxycodone and Percocet from their homes in Lansdale, Towamencin and Norristown.
After a nearly three-year investigation, Lansdale Police and Towamencin Township Police have arrested and charged two sisters for allegedly dealing Oxycodone and Percocet from their Berwick Place home in Chatham Village in Towamencin.
Darrina Slocum, 34, and Ebony Slocum, 32, of the 100 block of Berwick Place, face numerous felony drug dealing charges stemming from a November 2012 incident, police said.
Darrina Slocum is free on $10,000 unsecured bail, set by District Judge Harold Borek, according to court records.
Darrina has a preliminary hearing March 14 at 1:15 p.m. in Lansdale.
Ebony Slocum remains incarcerated at Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $75,000 cash bail, according to court records. She has a preliminary hearing set for Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. in Lansdale district court.
Darrina Slocum is charged with the following:
- Felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver
- Felony conspiracy to possess a controlled susbtance with intent
- Misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance
- Misdemeanor purchase/receipt of a controlled substance
Ebony Slocum is charged with the following:
- Four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver
- Two felony counts of criminal use of a communication device
- Felony conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent
- Four misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance
- Four misdemeanor counts of purchase/receipt of a controlled substance
Darrina Slocum was arrested at her home on Jan. 19, following execution of a search warrant by Lansdale and Towamencin Police officers and detectives, police said.
Ebony Slocum, who was believed to be somewhere in Philadelphia, reportedly turned herself in to Lansdale Police on Jan. 29.
The investigation began in late 2010 when Lansdale Police received reports that Ebony Slocum was allegedly selling Percocet, police said.
Officers reportedly made controlled purchases from Ebony Slocum at her former apartment on West Main Street in Lansdale between February and March 2011.
Ebony Slocum, police said, moved to Norristown a day before Lansdale Police were going to execute a search warrant on her West Main Street apartment in March 2011.
In September 2011, Lansdale Police received new information that Ebony Slocum was allegedly selling Oxycodone from her Norristown home, police said.
During that investigation, Ebony Slocum moved a second time to an unknown location in the Lansdale area, police said.
Lansdale Police Street Crimes Unit received information in November 2012 that Ebony and Darrina Slocum were allegedly selling painkillers in the Lansdale area, and resided on Berwick Place, police said.
Between November 2012 and January 2013, controlled purchases of Oxycodone were made from both sisters, police said, at various locaitons throughout the North Penn area, including Lansdale.
On a Jan. 19 search warrant execution, police seized Oxycodone pills allegedly prescribed to Darrina Slocum, police said. The prescription bottle indicated that 80 pills were filled on Jan. 14.
Of those 80 pills, 59 were missing on the day of the search, police said.
