[VIDEO] See Videotaped Confession of Saanvi Venna's Accused Killer

Montgomery County District Court released the 23 minute video containing the confession of alleged murderer Raghunandan Yandamuri.

Montgomery County District Court has released the footage of Raghunandan Yandamuri alleged confession to the murders of 10-month-old Saanvi Venna and her 61-year-old grandmother Satyavathi Venna in October.

According to NBC10, Yandamuri claimed both murders were accidental. In the video, he claims that he slit the grandmother's throat accidentally and stuffed a handkerchief in Saanvi's mouth and Wrapped a towel around her head to stop her from crying.

Authorities have said the murders were part of a botched ransom scheme in which Yandamuri planned to demand $50,000 from Saanvi's parents for her safe return. Several copies of a ransom note were found at the murder scene.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's office is reportedly considering seeking the death penalty for Yandamuri.

It wasn't a real knife. If you watched the entire video, you would see that.

He was still being questioned and I doubt he was formally arraigned so that is most likely the reason he wasn't in a prison jumpsuit. As for not being cuffed, he was being fully cooperative so why would you cuff him? And do you really think he could have taken one of the detectives, let alone both of them?

He is either very cunning or incredibly dumb. He is claiming that both the grandmother & the child's deaths were accidental, which is quite smart. But his whole ransom scheme is so idiotic that it makes him seem like a bumbling moron - which, unfortunately, gives quite a bit of credence to the possibility that he did not intend to kill anyone. I think that the d.a. is going to have a very hard time proving first degree murder and, therefore, will probably not get the death penalty. It's a shame, because this s.o.b. doesn't deserve to live, but that's just the way our justice system works.

This onslaught was brought upon by heavy losses in gambling. virtually every state now has legalized casinos. It's an evil that needs to be curbed.

He might have killed the grandmother so she wont identify him. I think he may also be heavily influenced by the Tollywood movies he watched regularly. I dont think he understood the reality, nor has he watched even a single episode of law and order. Had he done that, he might have been at large still
