Viewfinder: Roosevelt Field's Final Farewell

An evening downpour and an unexpected Wissahickon win still couldn't put a damper on the farewell party for Roosevelt Field.

Hundreds braved the chilling rain on Friday night to celebrate the final chapter for Roosevelt Field – a fond farewell that combined a parade, Senior Night activities, a game against the Wissahickon Trojans, and whole lot of music, food and fun.

While the game against the Trojans may not have been the victory for the Eagles most had expected (the Trojans prevailed, 28-16), the loss didn't put a damper on the party atmosphere.

Amidst the hoopla of celebrating seniors and a fierce battle on the field, the Bowie State University Symphony of Soul Marching Band provided a special treat for fans.

For a detailed rundown of the game, see the story on The Times Herald's website.
