Wow, is all I can say with the last night of the convention. They certainly saved the best for last. We were treated to performances by the Foo Fighters, May J Blige, James Taylor, and a host of celebrities. The speeches were inspiring including our very own Mayor Nutter. Other than Biden and Obama, my favorite was Jennifer Granholm, former Governor of Michigan, whose speech pumped up the crowd. The best quote from that was "in Mitt Romney's world, the cars get the elevator and the workers get the shaft!" I couldn't even hear most of the end of that speech with the crowd cheering so much.
Having never been at a convention I am not sure of lack of sleep is a common thing. I averaged about 3 -4 hours a night and feel a little worn today as we head home. It will feel good to sleep in my own bed, and I am sure that it will take a few days until I am rested enough to think clearly and get my life somewhat back to normal. Of course with 60 or so days until the election, that normal will very quickly mean lack of sleep for another reason.

As a catholic, my religious freedom has been taken from me. How dare they! Legalized abortions and tax payer funded abortions are two different things. Why should I or my church have to pay for someone else to murder their child? Who do you suppose was the first woman to want to kill her baby? I wonder how many people thought it was ok then. Americans are numb and self righteous.
