Take a first look at maple trees, especially sugar maple. How did the Native Americans and early settlers get their maple sugar? Learn how we can make maple syrup from the sap of this special tree. Children can make a maple craft to take home. Taste maple sugar and pure maple syrup and compare with commercial imitations. Ages: adults and children ages 3 and up. Pre-registration by phone is required. Meet at the park office.
