DESCRIPTION:This mutual aid group offers support to people who share the 
 experience of hearing voices.&nbsp\; The group's acceptance of the real 
 life experiences of its memers and its encouragement of personal accepta
 nce has its roots in an international hearing voices movement which is l
 ed by INTERVOICE\, the International Network for Training\, Education\, 
 and Research into Hearing Voices.\nRelatively new to the United States\,
  Hearing Voices Groups are being promoted by the National Empowerment Ce
 nter and other organizations devoted to Recovery.&nbsp\; They are of cri
 tical importance in reducing the isolation\, shame and secrecy that so o
 ften characterizes the lives of voice hearers.&nbsp\;\nMontgomery County
  groups are facilitated by Berta Britz\, CPS\, a voice hearer who is inv
 olved in the international movement.&nbsp\;\nAll voice hearers are welco
 me free of charge.\nThe group is made possible through the collaboration
  of the Montgomery Department of Behavioral Health and Creating Increase
