DESCRIPTION:The Colors and Sounds of India are coming to Blue Bell\, pres
 ented by Montgomery County Community College&rsquo\;s Lively Arts Series
  and Sruti\, the India Music and Dance Society.&nbsp\;\nThe performance

  percussion instruments lead the moving cadences of Indian classical mus
 ic\, also known as Carnatic music. This marvelous\, high-energy show fea
 tures two instruments &ndash\; the mridangam and the kanjira &ndash\; th
 at are widely used in Indian classical music. They function as percussio
 n and tambourine\, respectively\, while also serving to highlight the ta
 steful rhythms found in the music. Rich with folk influences\, the show 
 will features performances by noted signers S. Sowmya and Bharat Sundar.
