The Theist Temple Church of God in Christ is holding a Freedom Concert honoring the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr and Coretta Scott King.
The concert will take place on Jan. 20 at 4 p.m. at Theist Temple COGIC, 535 E. Marshall Street in Norristown. The concert will be a black tie affair featuring a black history exhibit and also readings from the civil rights movement.

Theist Temple Church is a Pentecostal church located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Norristown. Elder Abraham Wade Jr. presides over the Theist Temple Church. Theist basis is teachings upon the Bible as the Word of God. At the center of their worship is the belief that an individual must repent, be baptized in Jesus, and receive the Holy Ghost. Theist offers a weekly service on Tuesday and Friday at 7:30pm. All are welcome to attend any of the number of services held at Theist Temple Church.
