The computer lab will offer classes on computing skills beginning on September 12.
We offer two tracks of courses, the Welcome to the Web, designed for the student who is primarily interested in getting on the internet and doing email, and the Computer Essentials Course, intended for the student who needs to develop or refresh computing skills that will lead to productivity in a computing environment at home and especially in the workplace. This course is a prerequisite for our Word and Excel courses.
Welcome to the Web classes meet once a week for three weeks on Wednesday mornings 10:30 to 12:30 or Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00. The cost is $15.00.
Computer Essentials classes meet once a week for five weeks on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 or Friday mornings from 10:30 to 12:30. The cost is $25.

More About Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library
The Norristown Library Company was founded in 1794 as a private collection from 90 area families. In 1968, it merged with the Montgomery County Free Library. In addition to book loans, the library's services and amenities include computer and Internet use, public meeting rooms, photocopiers, bookmobiles, books by mail, videos and DVDs, children's story hour, and children's after-school clubs.
