Montco SAAC hosts Alzheimer's National Commemorative Candle Lighting

As the incidence of Alzheimer’s disease continues to climb, affecting families in every community across America, Montco SAAC, Norristown will hold an inspirational candle lighting ceremony on Friday November 15 to remember individuals and their families who have been touched by the incurable brain disorder.

The community event is part of the 11th annual National Commemorative Candle Lighting, sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) and is one of AFA’s ongoing national initiatives to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and related illnesses.

SAAC will hold its ceremony at their drop in center at 536 George Street, beginning at 11:30 a.m.  The Candle Lighting is an annual event at the senior center where many have friends or family afflicted with varying degrees of this condition.
