Successful Aging at Montco SAAC

Rummikub is the latest game craze at Montco SAAC, Norristown. It started with one set and shortly became obvious that 2 more were needed!

The game, played with colored and numbered tiles, offers players the opportunity to arrange tiles on the table using color and number sequences, and then build on existing patterns. The goal is to get rid of all your tiles first.

The focus and concentration needed for the game are an important facet of senior center activity. Keeping the mind active and interacting with different players, helps stimulate brain activity and encourages interpersonal interaction. These are both keys to successful aging according to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
