Applebee’s Flapjack Breakfast to Benefit Youth Organization Thomas Supportive Services

A Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast on Saturday will help fund services for youth.

To help fund the youth mentoring organization Thomas Supportive Services (TSS), Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar in East Norriton will hold a Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 8 to 10 a.m., according to TSS.

Admission is $10 per person and $7 for kids 10 and younger. Applebee’s is located at 2700 DeKalb Pike in East Norriton, PA.

TSS, which originally came together in January of this year and moved into a Norristown building about a month ago, mentors boys from ages 10-19, and hopes to start a girls’ group soon, according to founder and CEO Leo Thomas.

TSS tutors children and helps their older mentees with job placement, wrote Thomas in an email to Patch.com. There is also financial literacy education for parents and children. Children also go on trips and do community service, like tree-planting, according to Thomas.
