Charity Golf and Dinner Event Funds Prostate Cancer Research and Awareness

The Santoro Foundation's annual golfing and dining event gives proceeds to help fight prostate cancer.

The Santoro Foundation will hold their tenth annual charity golf outing to fight prostate cancer this year at the Club at Shannondell in Audubon on Sept. 7 at 1 p.m., where guests can play, dine, and partake in an auction while raising funds for prostate cancer research and awareness.

This year the event is open to the public.  The $125 registration pays for a guest’s greens and cart fees, as well as a spot at the charity dinner and auction that will follow.

Proceeds are given to such organizations as the Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania and The Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Further, every year, The Santoro Foundation offers a scholarship to a local high school student who has a commitment to community service.  This year, Methacton High School senior Andrew Parambath received the foundation’s $500 award.

Event sponsorship opportunities are also available for local businesses.  An event Sponsorship is priced at $250 and includes hole signage, a logo on the registration brochure and website, inclusion in press release and all media materials, and an ad mention in the event day program.  The price for a standard hole signage sponsor is $100.
