Chicken Run Disrupts Rush Hour Traffic Along Markley Street

A pair of chickens pecking their way around the 600 block of Markley Street at rush hour today caused quite a stir for evening commuters.

A Patch editor on her way home through Norristown this evening reported a bit of a back up on Markley Street during the evening rush hour – not due to the Markley Street Improvement Project but to a pair of chickens running wild in the 600 block of Markley.

None of the local business owners in the area laid claim to the chickens and local police said they haven't been called to take the chickens into custody. The current whereabouts of the fowl are unknown.

Did you see the chickens who flew the coop? Do you know who they belong to? Tell us in the comments!
