Free Admission to Elmwood Park Zoo on MLK Day, Jan. 20

Norristown’s popular, local zoo is celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. day.

Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown is offering guests free admission and special happenings at their zoo on Monday, which is Martin Luther King, Jr. day.

While admission is free, donations to the zoo, which was founded in 1924, are appreciated, according to the zoo’s website. The zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be a special animal show called “I have a dream” at 2:30 p.m. Being that the day is a special day of service, guests can have the chance to volunteer for a special service project for the zoo. See the website for more information.

Upcoming events at the zoo this year include a 'Spring Break Camp' for kids, 'Breakfast With the Animals' and more.
