How to Help the Families of the East Minor Street Fire

Local organizations are rallying to help the community members who were displaced by the blaze.

To help those displaced after a two-alarm fire damaged their homes on Norristown’s East Minor Street on Saturday, the Red Cross, the Greater Norristown Police Athletic League (GNPAL), a GoFundMe capmpaign and the George Washington Carver Center are accepting donations for the families.

The Carver Center is holding drop-in hours where they will accept clothing and accessory items from 6-8 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday. They are located at 249 East Jacoby Street in Norristown. For updated information, including which items are needed, visit their Facebook page here:
