Ricco Rios, of Norristown, died as a trash truck passenger in a Hilltown township incident in July; the truck driver faces charges of homicide by vehicle, unlawful activities while using a cell phone and more.

A memorial for Ricco Rios, the 24-year-old Norristown man killed on July 2 in 2013 in a trash truck accident in Hilltown township, will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the crash site where Bypass Road intersects Dublin Road.

After an investigation to try to determine whether the accident was caused by driver error or mechanical issues, Hilltown police charged the trash truck driver, Adam Bermudez, 28, of East Norriton, in November, with involuntary manslaughter, unlawful activities while using a cell phone, homicide by vehicle, and other offenses. His formal arraignment is scheduled to be at the Bucks County Courthouse on Feb. 14.
