Montco Issues 'Code Blue' Through Tuesday

The county issues a 'Code Blue' when temps get lower than 20 degreees.

The Montgomery County Commissioners, on the advice of the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, have issued a “Code Blue” Weather Emergency for the county based on forecasts from the National Weather Service.

The Code Blue will start Saturday, Nov. 23 and will last through Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 9 a.m.

The Code Blue is made in Montgomery County when cold weather conditions pose a threat of serious harm or death to people without shelter; it’s issued when the combined air temperature and wind chill is anticipated to be 20 degrees or less.
