Residents within the spray area should consider remaining indoors, closing windows and turning off ventilation systems that draw-in outside air for the duration of the spray plus 30 minutes after.

Montgomery County says that, after consulting with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, it will start spraying mosquitos in certain areas of the county.

Spraying so far will be limited to areas of Upper Moreland and Abington townships.

Areas of both townships will be sprayed from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, weather permitting. The alternate date in the event of inclement weather will be Thursday at the same times.

Areas straddling Welsh Road in Abington and Upper Moreland townships will be sprayed.
