'Old Newsboys' Day' in Norristown [PHOTOS]

County officials and volunteers took to the streets of Norristown on Friday for 'Old Newsboys' Day' to raise money for Variety – The Children's Charity.

Montgomery County Commissioners Josh Shapiro, Leslie Richards and Bruce L. Castor, Jr., Sheriff Eileen Whalon Behr and Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman hit the streets Friday morning with a host of other volunteers to raise money for Variety – The Children's Charity.

The crew spent a few hours selling issues of The Happiness Edition, a newspaper dedicated Variety and it's programs, to passers-by. All proceeds from the day go to support programs for children with physical and developmental disabilities.

Check out our photos from the day and see the video clip with Angus Murray, Managing Director of the Delaware Valley Region Variety Club, who explains what the day was all about.
