A vehicular accident caused one vehicle to run into a fire hydrant on Sterigere Street in Norristown earlier today, causing the base to leak, after which Pennsylvania American Water, the water company servicing the area, took note, according to a representative from the Norristown police.

According to a representative from Pennsylvania American Water, the incident could possibly be affecting customers on Sterigere Street and Buttonwood Street the most, and customers radiating out from the area, less so.

Around 7:45 p.m., a representative from Pennsylvania American Water said that they were alerted of some sort of issue around 4:30 p.m. Their scheduled, estimated time for fixing the issue completely is 10 p.m. Sunday.

According to the police representative, sometimes, in this kind of weather, a water company could be responding to several issues.
