A short segment of the Schuylkill River Trail will close temporarily to all traffic starting today, Monday, Jan. 27, according to a Montgomery County press release.
The half-mile segment of the trail — from Ford to Ross Streets in Norristown — will close due to construction being done as part of the Lafayette Street extension project.

The trail had temporarily been relocated after construction began last year, but the scope of the construction work no longer makes keeping the trail open or safe.
