A rally titled “Impeach Obama and Repeal Obamacare” will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 in King of Prussia, organized by Norristown resident and local DJ Daniel Wissert, amongst others.
“This is not a Republican or Democrat thing, this is an American thing!” wrote Wissert on Norristown Patch’s announcement boards.
Participants are encouraged to bring signs and flags to the event, which will take place at West Dekalb Pike and Mall Boulevard, from 3 p.m. to 5p.m.
In an email to Patch.com, Wissert wrote that he was inspired to organize the rally after researching and determining that the government, including the president, cannot make a health care law, and that the people should determine what their own health care plans should be.
“I heard that the plan of president Barack Hussain Obama and by house Democrats that Obamacare will be made a law and that is not acceptable by our Founding Fathers, We The People and our Constitution, Wissert wrote to Patch.
In emailing with Patch, Wissert gave “thanks” to a group called Overpasses for America, which describes itself on its website as a non-partisan group calling for governmental reform.
Political enthusiast Steve Piotrowski plans to attend the rally as a supporter.
“I would suggest that the rally is about people who are upset with both political parties. Obama is the current president and we don't see much of a difference between him, Romney, or Bush,” wrote Piotrowski in an email to Patch. “Our country is broke but he is ramming healthcare through, high unemployment, massive debt, wars, attacks on our civil liberties, and lies.”
