"Silver Linings Playbook," parts of which were filmed locally, will have a special red carpet opening in Philadelphia tonight.

You may remember last year this time when Norristown Patch reported that actor Bradley Cooper was in Norristown filming scenes for an upcoming movie.

Well that film, Silver Linings Playbook, starring Cooper, Robert De NiroJennifer LawrenceJulia Stiles and Chris Tucker, is having a special red carpet screening tonight at the University of Pennsylvania's Zellerbach Theater, at 3630 Walnut Street in Philadelphia. Tickets are sold out and Cooper isn't expected to attend, but director David O'Russell will be on hand, as will author Matthew Quick and actress Brea Bee.

Cooper was in Norristown last year filming scenes at the Norristown State Hospital for the movie, which tells the story of local boy Pat Solatano, who lost everything and finds himself living with his parents (played by Jacki Weaver and DeNiro) after spending eight months in a state institution.
