Norristown Arts Council to Elect New Leadership for 2013

The NAC will hold it's annual meeting on Jan. 24 and residents interested in running for a seat are invited to submit materials by Jan. 14

The Norristown Arts Council (NAC) has posted notice of its annual meeting on the Norristown Arts Hill website. The meeting will take place on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Norristown Municipal Hall, 235 East Airy Street.

Stakeholders and supporters of the Arts Hill are encouraged to attend and residents interested in becoming members of the NAC board of directors should be prepared to give a brief introduction (no more than a few minutes long) and a statement of candidacy. Members, stakeholders and meeting attendees will then vote for the candidates of their choice.

The NAC is seeking board members to represent:

  • Arts and cultural institutions with an interest the Arts Hill district;
  • The business community;
  • Local and/or county government;
  • At-large seats.

Volunteer positions are also available for several committees including:

  • Marketing
  • Logistics
  • Fundraising
  • Volunteer
  • Special Events
  • Communications

Residents interested in running for a seat on the NAC board of directors or in volunteering for a committee should submit their name, resume and short bio and a brief statement of candidacy (board candidates only) to the Norristown Arts Council, 208 DeKalb Street, Norristown, PA 19401 or email them to info@norristownartshill.org.
